minecraft pe resources failed to load

Several players of Minecraft pocket edition (PE) on Xbox One have reported crash issues; one of which is ‘Resources failed to load’. Usually, players get a notification saying, ‘Global Resources Reset, Resources failed to load previously.’

If as a Minecraft player, you are experiencing this type of error message and a subsequent crash, follow these suggestions to fix the issue.

Fix: Minecraft PE resources failed to load

Solution 1: Perform a reset on your console

Here’s how to:

  • To perform a console reset, hold down the power button for 10 seconds. You might choose to hold it down till the power goes out.
  • Unplug the console from the power source by removing the power cord for 5 minutes
  • After 5 minutes, plug back the power cord and restart your console.

Solution 2: Reinstall Minecraft PE

Here’s how to:

  • Go to ‘Apps’ from the Xbox guide by pressing the Xbox button on your controller
  • Navigate to ‘Minecraft Pocket Edition’
  • Press the home button and select ‘Uninstall’
  • Check for uninstalled apps in your library
  • Reinstall Minecraft PE from your library.
  • Launch the game to check if the problem is fixed.

Solution 3: Factory-reset your Console

Here’s how to:

  • You should open your Xbox guide by pressing the Xbox button
  • You should select ‘System’ >> Settings >> System
  • Select ‘Console info’ from the given option
  • From the Console info option, select ‘Reset console’
  • From the ‘Reset console’, you will be offered three options
    • ‘Reset and remove everything’. This option restores your Xbox to factory settings and deletes all user’s accounts, data, games, settings, games and home Xbox associations. This should be your last option when troubleshooting to save you the stress of downloading and installing large game files.
    • ‘Reset and keep my games & apps’. This option reset the Xbox and restore it to factory default. This option does not delete your game apps but wipes out all corrupted data. You should make this your ideal option for troubleshooting your Xbox.
    • ‘Cancel’ to exit should you change your mind against resetting your game console.
  • Once the reset is complete, re-launch the game to confirm if the problem is solved.
