Huawei and its sub-brand Honor, have worked on a new laptop that seems to target the 16-inch MacBook Pro. The new laptop, Honor MagicBook Pro, is having a 16.1–inch display and seems to feature an Ultrabook looking factor.
Honor MagicBook Pro Details
The Honor MagicBook Pro, because that is its name, will have all the features a standard Ultrabook will have, and more. This will also include the most recent trends in screen design. Because of that, Honor has lowered the size of the screen bezels on both sides of the screen to just 4.9mm.
This permitted them to adjust a 16.1 – inch display into this laptop, giving it the looks more of a 15.6–inch laptop. The weight will be quite good too, weighing only 3.75 pounds (1.7 kg).
As it is, it’s beginning to take shapes nicely for an Ultrabook, and the weight is below the 15–inch 2018 MacBook Pro, delivering at the same time more screen space. Overall, it will be an excellent addition to the professional web design industry.
Honor MagicBook Pro Vs. MacBook Pro
Factoring in the low-tier MacBook Pro series, the Honor MagicBook Pro could prove a better option. As of now, there are only two models that will feature the 8th Generation of Intel Processors, the i5 and i7 U series. The U series will offer high performance but maintain power efficiency as well, not compared to the ravaging speeds that the K series will provide on a professional machine, but a good amount nonetheless.
The MagicBook will have 8GB of RAM for now, but a 16GB version has also been announced. As for the GPU, it will feature an Nvidia GeForce MX250 which can provide decent rendering performance and might slightly improve the graphical prowess of the unit overall. For light users, it might be just powerful enough, but as a power user don’t expect it to give you the performance you need.
Honor MagicBook Pro Pricing
The prices for China are low, starting from 5,499 Yuan ($800) for the i5 model and 6,199 Yuan ($900) for the i7 model. The sad news is that there hasn’t been any international release information momentarily, but the Honor MagicBook Pro will be welcomed with open arms all over the world.
