Smartphone manufacturers are continually upping their game with more performance-packed devices with streamlined designs, and Motorola wants to join the party with a new budget phone – Motorola Moto E6. As features are getting more advanced, the prices are reaching astronomical levels with flagship smartphones from Apple, Samsung, or Google reaching sums between $1000 and $2000.
Motorola is coming out with the exact opposite strategy by bringing a budget $150 smartphone to the market. The phone is meant for people that want a decent smartphone for a budget price or customers that are not really that heavy on their smartphone usage.
Motorola Moto E6 features
The Moto E6 will have a plastic body, a Snapdragon 435 processor, and 2GB of RAM. The new phone does have a successor in the Moto E5, which is below the G7 line of phones from the company that is in the mid-range class.
There will be a 5.5-inch HD display equipped on the phone, as well as a 3000 shockingly removable mAh battery. Something you don’t really see with newer phones. As per standard with Motorola phones, the E6 will get a nano-coating that will give it protection from water damage.
Further features will include a rear-mounted 13 MP camera, along with a front-facing camera that will have 5 MP. Storage will be severely limited to 16 GB but a micro SD slot will be available. The phone will get a headphone jack and will charge via micro-USB. No USB-C here.
What is is like?
It will not blow you away as an iPhone X or a Samsung Galaxy S10. It won’t even have the feel or performance of an affordable $300 Huawei. The best comparison could be made with iPhone SE. A more affordable iPhone SE.
The phone will cost $150, and it will feel like it. However, this will only be noticeable to users that will switch over from more powerful devices. It will not matter for the person that has not been rocking a new phone in the last few years.
It’s a good option for checking your email and using social media messengers. Don’t buy it for good speed when multi-tasking or browsing the internet. Don’t even think about playing more demanding mobile games. If you don’t mind the lag and you need a phone, buy the new Motorola Moto E6.
