Antivirus programs do not allow installations from unknown sources, but sometimes it misreads the trustable setups. At some point, you will need to install new software or a driver, and your Antivirus will keep stopping their installation. Sometimes they also block your favorite website or app. It’s quite a common problem. At some point, your Antivirus detects the changes which are being made by an unknown application while you install something as false positives. This is when you need to disable your Antivirus.
How to disable Avast on Windows
First way
Go to your Windows taskbar and then right-click on the icon. Select Avast! Shields control. From here, you’ll get four options with come with different time durations. Disable for 10 minutes, 1 hour, until the computer is restarted and permanently. Select the one which suits you better. When you click on the one you want, the Antivirus will ask for your confirmation. You need to select yes. It will disable your Avast antivirus for as long as you want.
Second way
Go to your windows taskbar and right-click on Avast’s icon. Select Open Avast user interface.then you need to go to settings. Select Components. You will get a list of shields that are currently active on your computer. You need to select On for every shield. From here you’ll get different time durations, you just need to pick the one you want. Then click OK
