We think that everyone is going to agree with us when we say that the Google Play Store is the most important component of the Android operating system, right? After all, the Google Play Store is the biggest app library in the world with millions of mobile games and useful apps that Android fans can download and install on their smartphones whenever they want.
Considering just how important is the role that the Google Play Store has in the Android operating system, then no one should be surprised to find out that Google is constantly releasing updates for the app library. In fact, a new update has recently started rolling out and today we are going to present everything that Android fans need to know about it.
Google Play Store 16.4.14 Update
We have some great news to share with Android fans! A brand-new update for the Google Play Store has been released and it’s rolling out via OTA (over the air) channels. Therefore, the only thing that Android fans are required to do in order to download the new update is to simply wait for it to pop up in their notification panels.
Stability Improvements
Google loves to include new features in nearly all updates that it releases. However, this is not the case for the Google Play Store’s latest 16.4.14 update. The reason behind this is that Google doesn’t want to take any risks when it comes to the performances of the app library and therefore, the new update comes with a handful of stability improvements and bug fixes instead of new features.
APK Variant
The last thing that we want to mention is that the latest update for the Google Play Store can also be downloaded in the form of APK (Android Package Kit) as an alternative method. Keep in mind that APK updates are exclusive to smartphones that have the “Unknown Sources” option enabled.
