Removing songs from your Apple Music on the iPhone is as easy as downloading music to your device. If you have downloaded songs, music albums or music videos to your iPhone, and you want to delete any of the downloaded items from your iPhone; all you need to do is follow these simple steps to delete it from your Apple Music.
How to delete downloaded songs from Apple Music
Solution 1: Use Apple Music
Step 1: you should launch the Apple Music App on your iPhone,
Step 2: Locate the music you want to delete from the Music App.
Step 3: Press and hold down the music you want to delete
Step 4: A menu will appear while still holding down on the music
Step 5: in the menu, you are provided with three options:
Option 1: ‘Remove Downloads’
Option 2: ‘Delete from Library’
Option 3: ‘Cancel’
Step 6: Tap on the ‘Remove Download’ option to delete the song from your iPhone storage. However, the song will still be available in your library but will not be available for listening offline.
Tapping on the ‘Delete from Library option’ removes the song from your Apple Music Library. If you change your mind in the future about the song, you will need to search for the song and re-add it to your Apple Music library.
Note: if you see the cloud icon beside the music you want to delete, it means that the song is not stored on your iPhone, but in the cloud and will not be available for listening offline.
Solution 2: Delete music through the iOS settings
Here’s how to do this:
Step 1: Settings > ‘General’ > ‘iPhone Storage’
Step 2: Scroll down to Music and tap on Music
Step 3: Swipe left on any music of your choice
Step 4: Tap on ‘Delete’ to delete it from your iPhone storage.
To delete music synced to your computer from you’re your iPhone, you should turn off syncing in iTunes before deleting the intended music.
