Facebook is renowned for making it possible for people from all over the world to find their friends and family members in the online medium. However, this is not the only thing that Facebook excels at. Facebook is also equipped with a standalone app that is simply called Messenger and this app provides users with all the tools that they need to get in touch with everyone they want.
The great thing about the Messenger app is that it can be used for many purposes and not just that chatting. For example, Messenger is the ideal app for people who want to share files such as pictures, videos and documents with their friends. Nonetheless, the reason why we are talking about Facebook’s Messenger today is because the chatting app has just been updated.
Facebook Messenger 188.8.131.52.116 Update
There’s no better way to start off the day other than to receive a major update for your favorite app. With that said, we have some great news to share with Messenger fans. The chatting app has just received a new update that sports the 184.108.40.206.116 version number and it’s being rolled out via OTA (over the air) channels.
How to Download the New Update
There are two ways to download the new update. The first is for Facebook users to simply keep their smartphones connected to a stable Wi-Fi network and then to download it via OTA (over the air) channels. The second method is a bit more complicated because it requires users to manually download and install the APK (android package kit) version of the update. The tricky part about this installation process is that APK releases can only be installed on Android-powered smartphones that have the “Unknown Sources” option enabled in the Settings panel.
