OnePlus 7T’s Newly Leak Press Render Fails to Impress

OnePlus has kept making headlines during this past couple of weeks because it announced that it’s planning to launch its first-ever smart TV. However, this is not the only device that the Chinese based tech giant is scheduled to launch in 2019. We are talking about the highly anticipated OnePlus 7T. This is the next-generation flagship smartphone from OnePlus and fan expectations are through the roof! Fortunately, we got lucky and a reliable leakster has managed to get his hands on OnePlus 7T’s official press render.

Leaked Press Render

The first thing that we want to mention about the newly leaked press render of OnePlus 7T is that it comes as a courtesy of @onleaks For the uninitiated, @onleaks is a reliable leakster that has a stellar track record of predicting upcoming tech gadgets.

Nonetheless, the press render is showing us that OnePlus has equipped the upcoming smartphone with a full-screen display that features a “water drop” top-notch. The design of OnePlus 7T is in no way dull, but we have to admit that it doesn’t stand out too much either.

Unusual Camera Placement

Leaving the display of OnePlus 7T aside, what does really stand out in the leaked press render is the placement of the rear mounted camera. The camera bump looks similar to the one used by Moto Z series and Huawei’s upcoming Mate 30. Although, the arrangement of the sensors in the round bump doesn’t really make sense.

From what we can tell, the smartphone will feature three cameras which are arranged horizontally in a row above the LED flash. The reason why OnePlus has cramped together the sensors is to make room for more space on the rear side.  While the design of OnePlus 7T might not be something spectacular, the smartphone will make up for that with its Snapdragon 855 CPU.
